An extremely versatile equine mixture designed using diploid Perennial Ryegrasses, Timothy & Tall Fescue for long term horse grazing with an option to produce a good quality hay crop.
- Timothy – Excellent cold tolerance, Keeps growing into Autumn, Stays green over winter, Early spring growth.
- Calao late season perennial ryegrass – Early & Mid Season grazing, Excellent ground cover, Good production for Hay.
- Wilaya perennial rye grass – Persistent under continuous grazing.
- Smooth stalked Meadow grass – Rhizomatous rooting resistant to poaching, Excellent drought tolerance, Provides good summer grazing.
- Tall Fescue – Adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions, high in fibre, Deep rooting & drought tolerant.
Sward density is of key consideration as both grazing and winter feed are often produced from the same area, as is reducing the risk of Laminitis through high sugar content.
Ideal for establishing new lay along with over sowing & essential maintenance of poached areas & gateways.
